Major Lazer x La Roux

I hated spinning top 40's. I have to admit there was never a more barf inducing moment in my life then having to follow up a B.o.B. song with the breaks in the newest Timbaland x Drake production naw mean??? Not that the production really sucked but I just can't really swallow that kind of music.

Regardless I have to admit I built some pretty interesting set lists from the midst of all the chaotic mayhem that comes with playing live sets. One particular record that comes to mind that only got my kids going but had girls dropping panties too has to be Major Lazers - Guns Don't Kill People....Lazers do. Truth is I loved this album already before this new beast dropped, but it's a really good compilation of some really well done remixes. Major Lazer x La Roux - Lazerproof

This album is drop dead hot. White hot. Like the sun, but more white because the sun isn't really as hot as Sirius or most stars...

Regardless the bass hits hard, the synths pop and waaaahhhh, and the lyrics cradle the beats into a more mainstream acceptable form but don't disregard it because this album is all DUB. From hyperdub to dubstep to straight dub lots of bass, driving synth, and a hell of a lot of style. Some of it you can do without, but the production for even those songs is worth a peep if not another remix! ha!
